Introduction to Chemistry.

Chemistry is the science that deals with the composition, structure and properties of matter.Matter is the anything that has mass and occupies space. It includes the materials or substance of nature which make up our environment

Since chemistry is a science that involves experiment and practical works, chemists have to acquire certain skills in order to be successful.

These skills include:

1. Careful and through observation
2. Accurate recording of what has been observed
3. Organizing the observed and recorded information
4. Repeating tests to make sure observation are accurate
5. Forming conclusion from observation
6. Predicting possible outcomes of similar experiments

Therefore all students of chemistry should acquire these skills so as to be able to think more clearly. Logically and even critical while studying the subject.

Application of Chemistry

Chemistry is an important subject that is applied in different field such as agriculture, medicine, manufacture, education, food and beverage, industry, homecare and cosmetics industry among other. This means the chemistry is applied in factories, home, hospital, laboratory, research center and universities. Many of the product are obtained by the application of chemistry in the manufacturing processes are common to us.
